What is NETMA?
The NATO Eurofighter and Tornado Management Agency (NETMA) serves as the principal customer management body for two major European multinational combat aircraft programs: the Eurofighter Typhoon and the Panavia Tornado. These two aircraft serve as the backbone for multiple European nations strike and fighter capabilities. NETMA was established in 1996, succeeding two former organizations – the NATO Multirole Combat Aircraft Development and Production Management Agency (NAMMA) and the NATO EFA Development Production and Logistics Management Agency (NEFMA). The consolidation was designed to enhance the management and coordination of the Eurofighter Typhoon and Panavia Tornado aircraft projects, both crucial to the defense capabilities of NATO member countries.
What Changes can I Expect?
If you’re currently working with or as part of the NETMA this means you have a reason to be excited as the new workflows and form generation capabilities will be a big help in automating and streamlining your operations. If you don’t own any assets relating to these projects, you don’t need to worry as your instance of eQuip will remain unchanged. If your organization is currently working or could find this module useful, please contact us and we will work with you.
What Functionality was Added?
We have added numerous new workflows and auto populating forms relating to NETMA partnered organizations. These workflows cover tasks like Loss Reporting, Underutilized Assets, Underutilized Inventory Reports and POP Ending Within 12 Months. These four features represent less than half of the additions that we have added or will be adding to eQuip soon. Some of the forms with new auto-populated fields include the NETMA Form F2 and NETMA Form F3. eQuip also added functionality for following MoD Forms: MoD Form 650, form is typically used for documentation and communication purposes, MoD Form 650A, also known as the “Contractors Advice of Equipment Scrapped, and, MoD Form 749, the “Assembly Record Card”.
We also added functionality for Europeans and American based firms working with the U.S. DoD and NETMA by adding a workflow for the DD Form 1348-1A or an Issue Release/Receipt Document.
As we continue to support organizations who are a part of NETMA you will continue to see features and workflows added. This isn’t the end to our updates, just a beginning.
